A "me" blurb

Ever since I first got the guts to speak to an HR recruiter from Nickelodeon at one of the networking nights during my time at UCLA, the path to animation became clear to me. This is the world I’m meant to be in - I guess there were signs growing up: constantly repeating all of the lines from the latest SpongeBob episode with my younger brother, drawing anything and everything that was manga, anime or cartoon-related, and even occasionally being teased that I tended to gesticulate animatedly and use lots of silly sound effects in conversation ~ I should’ve known all along.

Once my path became clear, I lived in constant wonderment. It felt surreal when I went to CTN conventions to listen to wonderfully passionate and talented speakers from the industry about the physicality and observance of emotions. It felt surreal getting super frustrated from learning hours of editing tutorials and then, at 2 AM, it finally clicking. It felt surreal to sit with intern friends watching one of my favorites, Kung Fu Panda 2, at the very place it was created. Remembering these surreal moments play a huge part in my love for being in this world.

…now, I am an animation editor. Working amongst some of my biggest inspirations from when I was young. My wonderment and surreal feelings only continue to grow. I love when these feelings arise and only want to incite these same feelings in audiences of all ages around the world - tears, smiles & laughter. For me, this is only the beginning. I am excited to see what new challenges and inspirations my next project will bring me!

Outside the animated world, my love of music and keeping an active mind draws me to dancing and competing in west coast swing. The joy in conversing and laughing with someone across the globe in a whole other language pushes me to keep studying and learning Korean, and drinking my favorite milk tea has always been my secret source of renewable energy!
